Chondrodactylus laevigatus
I'm a big fan of the Chondrodactylus group of geckos. I love my Chondrodactylus angulifer which are a terrestrial member of the group, so when I had the chance to pick up a rather rare member of the arboreal group of Chondrodactylus, I couldn't turn them down. These are similar to the more common Chondrodactylus turneri, but are more smooth scaled and are said to have more black in their patterns (especially the males). I have always enjoyed geckos with a lot of contrast, so I hope these mature to look like some of the pictures I have seen with bright white tubercles on a pitch black background.
