Ptenopus kochi
Koch's Barking Gecko

A 2013 Tinley pickup. The Ptenopus geckos have always been one of my "dream species" to obtain. For anyone who appreciates the unique and unusual members of the gecko world, this genera is a must have. A small gecko (4") with an oversized head, this gecko is sometimes referred to as the "bulldog" of the gecko world. Their name "barking gecko" refers to the fact that both the males and females are capable of producing a loud bark. This is a sound I look forward to hearing.
